International Technical Support Engineer, Norwalk CT

This position will support our company's high profile international clients in the implementation, management, and troubleshooting of hardware-based backup solutions. The International Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for: providing training, instruction and technical support for clients on a range of products, possible feature enhancements, and helping improve and/or create support methods. This position also deals heavily with facilitating functioning networks by identifying, troubleshooting and resolving network issues. This position may require travel.

Required Qualifications: 

2-4 years experience supporting Windows Servers, Networks and Workstations. Level 2 Support experience preferred.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in training multi-level support contacts.  Patience, adaptability, positive attitude, attention to detail, quick study, and a good sense of humor are a must. Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize are also very important as it is a fast paced environment that requires multi-tasking.  Possibility of position moving to 3rd shift.

Additional Considerations: 

Experience with Windows volume-based backup software is beneficial. Knowledge of backup and virtualization technologies and implementation is preferred but not necessary. We are willing to educate and train the right individual who displays ambition and willingness to learn about new technologies. Any knowledge of Linux Operating Systems is a huge plus.
