Datto uses a simple web interface to make changes to settings, so there is never any software to install. Software updates, maintenance and monitoring are all done automatically and without any interruption in service for you. Datto engineers are continuously looking for more ways to keep things as simple and easy as possible for you.

Advanced Technology

Sure its about the size of an external hard drive, but each Datto is packed with advanced technology. Our local web interface makes full use of AJAX and advanced web technologies. Each Datto continuously monitors the health of the internal hard drive. If we detect that a failure is eminent, a new unit with all your data on it can be mailed out overnight and simply plugged in without any other action on your part needed.

Always on, Always working

Unlike your average desktop computer, the Datto Device is designed to run 24/7 without the need to reboot. It may only take a few minutes to copy several gigabytes of digital photos, but it can take several days to upload that data over an average broadband connection. If using a software solution, you would have to leave your computer on for a day or two. With Datto, all you have to do is copy the files and the Datto will take care of the rest.

100% Compatible

Datto is compatible with almost any modern operating system. Datto uses industry standard SAMBA networking to interface easily with your existing windows network. OS X and Linux based computers can interface with datto through either SAMBA networking or NFS. We are dedicated to making datto work within your setup, whatever that may be. Every Datto device uses enterprise grade security. Your data is securely transmitted using AES encryption to our secure storage locations across the United States.
