Built off the same powerful technology as SIRIS, SIRIS Lite brings the advanced features of Inverse Chain, broad operating system support and advanced recovery options at a much lower cost.
SIRIS Lite utilizes a revolutionary technology that dramatically simplifies the backup and recovery process. By employing inverse chain technology, SIRIS Lite eliminates the traditional backup chain. SIRIS Lite takes data directly from servers or workstations and converts it into virtual machines (vmdk files) that can be booted instantly from a remote web interface. These vmdk files can be exported as VMs and virtualized with any hypervisor program. The power of SIRIS Lite is its ability to ensure peace of mind. Knowing that if anything happens to the local device, a business’ data is safely stored off-site in bi-coastal data centers. All for an extremly affordable price.
SIRIS Lite is the ideal solution for small to medium sized businesses that are taking their first steps towards transitioning to the cloud. SIRIS Lite is a simple appliance that offers cloud virtualization and many of the other features that the SIRIS Lite appliance offers. While the SIRIS Lite feature set is robust, the SIRIS Lite appliance cannot perform local virtualizations or take screenshot verification of backups. In the event of a disaster, SIRIS Lite can perform off-site virtualizations to protect against loss of data and costly downtime. It is an extremly affordable and easy to impliment entry point into cloud backup and virtualization.
True Business Continuity
SIRIS Lite provides true business continuity, eliminating downtime in the event of a disaster. When your servers go down, SIRIS Lite can have you up and running in seconds with Instant Virtualization. This product was specifically engineered to save MSPs and VARs valuable time and money. SIRIS Lite was designed with ease of use in mind (it can be setup and backing up machines in under 5 minutes) and is competitively priced.
Storing backup data locally is convenient, but redundant sets of data should be kept off-site for true protection. SIRIS Lite devices retain a local copy of the data on the device and then transmits mirrored images of the data to Datto’s secure off-site data centers. The data is encrypted using AES 256 + SSL key-based encryption and is stored on redundant drives in our bi-coastal data centers. Datto’s data centers are SAS70 Type II Certified, meaning they satisfy the qualifications set by AICPA’s Auditing Standards Board. Annual audits of the data centers ensure they maintain optimum standards of performance. The AICPA is widely recognized as the gold standard for assessment of operational controls and activities.
Differences Between SIRIS and SIRIS Lite:
The main differences between SIRIS and SIRIS Lite are that SIRIS Lite cannot perform local virtualization or screenshot verification of backups. Those two features are unique to SIRIS and not offered in the SIRIS Lite offering. SIRIS Lite does have the ability to perform instant off-site virtualization in the event of a disaster.
